Alani Nu Witch’s Brew Energy Drink Review

Alani Nu Witch’s Brew: Energy Drink Review

Contents

Alani Nu Witch’s Brew is a limited-edition Halloween season energy drink. It is different from the usual lineup and, in our opinion, has one of the best flavors available on the market.

Previously, the Stardust flavor was our favorite among Alani Nu’s energy drinks, but Witch’s Brew seems to be the new favorite. Here is why we think it is worth trying.

What is Alani Nu?

Alani Nutrition, aka Alani Nu, is a supplement and energy drink brand popular with gym-goers. If you are a caffeine lover who likes flavor variety, Alani Nu is one of the best-tasting options you can find. Alani Nu has different flavors to suit your taste.

Witch’s Brew is a seasonal fall release with a caramel apple flavor. It has returned in past Halloween seasons, so availability depends on the year and the retailer.

First Sip of Witch’s Brew

Initially, we were very skeptical about the flavor. Witch’s Brew is Caramel Apple flavored which sounded like a weird combination. Even though we were confused about the taste and how it is going to be, we went for the drink. After the first sip, we felt like we were wrong, as the drink was tasty. With 200 mg of caffeine, you will definitely feel it after the whole can.

It blew our minds as we never expected the caramel and apple flavor to be so good. The taste of tart apple and the aftertaste of caramel made the drink a great drink. The drink was very tasty, and we liked the Halloween-themed can and the combination of flavors.

Alani Nu Witch’s Brew Ingredients

The can has 200 mg of caffeine, about twice an 8-ounce cup of coffee. The FDA cites 400 milligrams a day as the general limit for most healthy adults, so one can uses half of it. The drink has zero sugar and only 10 calories or so.

It also adds B vitamins and biotin. Biotin won’t give you energy or a “glow” unless you are deficient, which is rare. The FDA warns that biotin can interfere with certain lab tests, including falsely low troponin results used to diagnose heart attacks, so tell your doctor if you drink it regularly before blood work.

Availability and Pricing

This energy drink is available on Alani Nu’s website, at supplement stores, and on Amazon while the season lasts. When we checked, a 12-pack ran about $30, or roughly $2.50 a can; prices vary by retailer.

Do we Recommend It?

Yes, for adults who already handle caffeine well. As the Alani Nu Drink is a lightly carbonated drink, you will have a smooth and refreshing experience while drinking it.

It works well before a workout or when you need a pick-me-up. Avoid it late in the day, because caffeine can disrupt sleep for hours.

It can help you stay alert on a long drive, but it is not a substitute for sleep; pull over and rest if you are drowsy. People who like caffeine but don’t want to drink coffee can use it instead of a cup or two of coffee. If you are on the fence, we recommend trying a single can first.

Is Witch’s Brew an Exclusive Drink?

Yes, it is a limited seasonal flavor tied to Halloween, and the name itself is Halloween-themed. It is usually only on shelves for a few months each fall.

Does Alani Nu Witch’s Brew Contain Alcohol?

No. Despite the name, Witch’s Brew contains no alcohol. It is sweetened with sucralose, a non-nutritive sweetener, instead of sugar. If you see “sugar alcohol” on a label, that is a type of sweetener, not alcohol.

Is Witch’s Brew Safe To Drink?

For most healthy adults, one can a day is fine. Skip it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, sensitive to caffeine, or have a heart condition. Too much caffeine can cause a racing heart, jitters, anxiety, and poor sleep, and NIH warns against mixing energy drinks with alcohol.

We hope Alani Nu will make us happier and keep surprising us with more drinks with unique and amazing flavors.
